Bio: I hold a BS in Geology & Geophysics and a MS in Tropical Plant and Soil Sciences. My MS thesis focused on an investigation of “hotspots” of residual arsenic from former sugarcane lands on The Island of Hawai'i, HI, USA. My company (Sustainability4youth) allows me the opportunity to work with youth in Asia and is comprised of 3 parts: The Kukui Cup (www.kukuicup.org), public speaking and sustainability writing. The Kukui Cup is a fun video game and real world competition for youth designed to produce long term, more environmentally friendly behavioral changes. I am also part of the founders circle for ProtoHUB (a co-working space in Honolulu) and on The Board of Director's for Save the Sea Turtles International. Previously I have worked for Cardno TEC inc. as an Environmental Scientist, taught at La Pietra-Hawai'i School for Girls, School for Examining Essential Questions of Sustainability (SEEQS) and chemistry laboratories at The University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. I have volunteered for East-West Center’s Participants Association (EWCPA) as a Sustainability Co-coordinator. Mahalo nui loa for checking this out!
